Back in the days of Palm OS devices, outliner apps were my favorite apps to use. It made since on a small display that could not be zoomed, because you could store a lot of information in multi-level lists and zoom in and out by drilling up or down in the outline's hierarchy.
I'm still a fan of outlines, but once the iPhone 3G came out they were no longer as necessary as they had once been. The ease of zooming in and out using your fingers in iOS meant that notes could exist in many different formats and still be easy to read and navigate.
These days I keep most of my notes in Microsoft OneNote or Evernote. Both offer watch apps, and it's easy to bring up a recent note on the watch, but if that note has a lot of content it's not that easy to navigate to the info you are looking for. On the tiny watch display, an outliner app would once again make much more sense. I don't access these apps that often from the watch, but there are times when it's convenient. For example I may enter some notes for a project I'm working on, and have a need to access those notes when I'm running errands or at a store. It's nice to quickly get to that information from the watch.
I was surprised there aren't more Outliner watch apps in the store (I was hoping to find something from my favorite outliner: Workflowy). The one I did decide to try seems very good so far: Cloud Outliner by Xwavesoft. The watch app does not appear to be native, but it does seem reasonably quick to update and navigate so far. It's easy to enter information into the iOS app and navigate it on the watch.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for outliner watch apps?
