When I switched from Entourage to Outlook, all my Entourage settings got transferred over to Outlook. One really annoying feature I've noticed about Outlook 2011 though, is that it will keep uploading everything to the server or wherever it is.

First of all, I have this feeling that even if I just receive an e-mail with an attachment, it will take longer for it to appear in my Outlook (though I have it to sync with Gmail right away) as though it were downloading the e-mail in the manner that POP does?! (If I click Save Attachments, they will appear on my desktop right away, hence the assumption!)

Secondly, when I delete such an e-mail with an attachment and click on Trash in Outlook, it will RE-download that e-mail and only then will it appear in the Trash box. Ok, this one I guess it is because I have the "Server" option enabled (though no other option is available).

Thirdly, same goes for Sent - it will RE-DOWNLOAD those e-mails with attachments (not sure about those without attachments, because it's pretty much instant for those). I DON'T have the (Server) option enabled for Sent mail.

I mean, what the hell??? What kind of crap is this?? It was never the case in Entourage, and much less so receiving mails with attachments. If you deleted an e-mail it just appeared in the Trash almost immediately after you clicked on it. And same goes for Sent mail - it would never RE-download/upload it to the server, unless I had that Server option checked.

Am I missing something here?? Has anyone else noticed the same behavior? I find it highly annoying for Outlook to be using my bandwidth like that.
