Outlook 2011 & Gmail?

Anyone using Outlook 2011 with their Gmail account? Mine is working perfectly except for one thing. When I delete or send a message (that has already been read), it goes in the correct folder [Gmail]\Sent Mail and [Gmail]\Trash. However...it shows up as unread in that folder. Not a huge deal, but I would like to get it corrected. Any ideas
