Hi.

I am about to (today) purchase a new 2011 MBA and currently also have a 2011 27" iMac which I run Office 2011 on as my main work machine.

The Air will be my travel machine and I also need to have Outlook 2011 on it as on the iMac (I have 2 copies of Office 2011)

My current iMac email address is a POP email account and want to move to IMAP (which has been setup from my service provider)

I understand that IMAP will let me keep my 2 macs synced up with their emails... but I dont quite understand the process of getting this running.

At the moment my iMac (POP) email account is running fine and I have made multiple folders e.g. Customers - then sub folder Cust 1, Cust 2, Cust 3 etc which as I read customers emails and respond to then manually move to their right folder.
I want the new Air to also have all these folders and sync fully with the iMac.

My questions are..

1. How do I get a copy of everything folders and all from the iMac to the Air?

2. How do I setup all folders to Sync using IMAP on both machines - or can IMAP only Sync inbox between the 2 machines?

3. Can I have a mix of IMAP and POP account on the same email address?
I also have an iphone I want to send rec emails on (dont need all the customer folders on the iphone), so perhaps leave this as POP setup?

Any thoughts, suggestions welcome..

Many Tks
