Outlook 2011 not working with and Mountain Lion

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion my Outlook e mail has become almost non- useable. Typically it gives me the message "username incorrect, would you like to reenter?"

I read all over of problems with ML and Outlook. Is there a solution that works? This is not an exchange account. Just a regular account. Even Apple's Mail program is not working. Outlook works about once out of every 15 tries.

Was this an upgrade or new install?

ML was an upgrade from Snow Leopard and was downloaded from the app store

I have no problems using Mail, I do not use Microsoft Outlook because I think it's just a horrible piece of junk on my Mac with lag.

I use Mail and it works fine for me.
If you have problems, reinstall Microsoft Outlook or clean the data files, find an update that supports OSX Mountain Lion if there is one.

10.8.2 problems solved

I was having problems with mail not deleting email as I was trying to do.
I was having problems with superdrive no longer working after Two
update to 10.8.2 installed.
Solved...
I went to apple store and had them wipe the HD clear and install 10.7.
All problems Solved

I have the same problem and could not find a solution for it. Has anyone got a solution that works?

I started having issues with OS/Mail + MS/Outlook using 2 gmail accounts.

Eventually moved to Thunderbird and haven't had any issues since then.
