Outlook 2011 received mail time not accurate *first post & just converted to mac :) *

Hello all...this is my first post as I have just switched over from pc to a mac just a few days ago (I'm loving it so far!!) Anyway...I have Office 2011 for mac and in Outlook when I check for new mail the received time isn't correct. Let's say I go to bed and get up and open Outlook...all incoming emails say the time that I checked my messages not the time that I actually received the email. So if I have 10 new messages they all say the same time i checked them and not when they were actually received. Any help would be appreciated. It is so great not to open my pc! Windows 7 looks archaic and performs likewise in comparison...I can't believe I didn't make the switch yrs ago!
