Outlook App - Battery Drain iPhone X

Is anyone else noticing Outlook draining a lot of battery in the background?

The battery drain seems odd/high when paired with the amount of background activity.

Yeah - no battery issues, but just ditched it for Spark, which looks gorgeous on the X.

My biggest drain has been Facebook and Messenger. So bad that I deleted them from the phone.

Email was always my favorite mail alternative.

Yeah that is something I miss. I haven't found a solution as yet, but I'll post back here if I find something.

Have a similar issue with the Outlook app, somehow it runs in the background for a long period of time. For the time being, I am actively closing the app after each use

do either of the apps referenced here work with Office365 "Focused" Inbox? That's the main driver for Outlook for me.

Running the beta of outlook on my X. Currently at 1% battery usage over a 24 hour period with background app refresh running with 4 accounts. On an additional note outlook looks good when updated to the X!

Spark does look good on the X. I also like email.

The best email app I have found for background battery is newton. I have tested side by side with airmail, outlook and edison and newton's battery use was consistently half of the others. Not used spark for a while as I am not happy with their privacy policy (google it).

My newton subscription renews in a few a weeks and I am looking to switch as I just do not want to pay so much for an email app. Just have not found 'the one' yet!

It’s called Email. The developer is Edison.

I haven't noticed this on mine but then again I haven't really been paying attention. I will definitely keep an eye on it. I hope they update Outlook for the X soon because this is one of my favorite email apps.

It’s already out in beta and working well so I imagine it should update soon. The one issue I have with outlook is the inability to search within the calendar. They beta version has implemented a new search feature however for whatever reason they leave out the calendar and only search contacts and email.
