I am on a new 2.7 GHz i7 w/ 16 GB DDR3. 12MB fiber connection.
I noticed recently that my connection runs slow, and so I performed a series of tests on this computer, and our other computer. I ran continuous pings from both computers (wireless and with ethernet cable connected) with a variety of applications open and closed, and have found that ONLY when I have Outlook open on this laptop, all computers connected to my router (or hardwired) slow from 10ms ping to 300ms, which escalates to 900ms, before going back down to 10ms ping.
I actually timed this, and the 10ms ping lasts for approximately 60 seconds, and then slows to 300ms-900ms for approximately 120 seconds.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this within Outlook?
