Outlook - Contacts Disappear

Ok so in Outlook I have 2 backup Contact lists (1 list with 10k contacts the 2nd with 11k contacts) that I've imported into Outlook. Every other day or so when I click on a backup list to check for a contact and then back into my mail or another contact list the backup lists disappear.

Any ideas?
