Hi

Im in the middle of switching to an ibook and have a question for you guys.

On my windows PC i backup my emails every week onto my external firewire drive, i export them into PST files (through outlook) i also do this with my contacts

My main concern is how will i get all this info onto my ibook? can MAC Mail support the importing of PST files?

Thanks

I had great trouble getting my head around this one...

easiest solution I found - which I have also posted in here in another thread somewhere is...

Export from Outlook to Outlook Express
(or import from Outlook into Outlook Express)

Add in your .Mac account...
then it is easy - just highlight and drag from your current location into your .Mac
Then sync your .Mac emails with you new iBook!

Thats what I did - and worked perfectly and was really quick!
The only difference for me was I wanted to get emails and address book out of Outlook into my 17 PB!

I paid $10USD for a program to group export vCards for Address Books.

the only problem with that is that my inbox is about 700mb!! over 3000 emails in my outlook!! (admitly most are archived) but it would take ages......via .mac

Another possibilty is Mozilla. Import your mails into Mozilla. Mail can import Mozilla files.

Mmmm ouch! I only had 80MB worth and have ADSL so it was relatively quick.
