Outlook Exchange/iCal OS X 10.5?

Can get Mail application to work with Outlook Exchange. Can Outlook Exchange work with iCal in OS X 10.5?
I'm not 100% sure but I believe you have to have the IMAP protocol enabled on Exchange in order to use it with Mail.app. IMAP is enabled in Exchange 5.5 no matter what but in Exchange 2003/2007 it's off by default.
