Is anyone else this issue?

I installed Outlook app on my iPhone running iOS 18.5 and then I setup my Gmail account in the Outlook app.

All notifications settings are enabled and just did a test email using the web browser version of Outlook and the web version of Gmail and I still not receiving any notifications on the Outlook for iOS app.

I also checked every settings in the Outlook app and I don't even see options for Fetch/Push settings.

Anyone else has had this issue?

Did you type your address manually when adding your Gmail to Outlook? If so, Outlook might’ve set it up using IMAP, which doesn’t support push notifications. Try removing your Gmail account from Outlook, then go to Outlook > Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account > Tap ‘Gmail’, and sign in through the Google login screen.

There is no option to select Gmail account it only let's me to manually enter my email address then tap on add account and then it takes me to the Google Gmail account page to sign in and that's all which I did before.

Here is a screenshot before adding my email and before I get to the Google Gmail account page.

Just to clarify, I am using Outlook for iOS app. Not the Apple Mail app.

Yep, correct. When I open the Outlook app I instantly get the messages without even a delay.

But there is no badge counts either.
So I don't have the notifications.

Even restarted my iPhone.

I know that sometimes the Outlook app either on iOS or even Android the Gmail accounts tend to not play so nice together and sometimes causes these mysterious issues...

I think the culprit will turn out to be the iOS Outlook app and the way it deals with third-party email accounts.

Is it still the case that the Gmail emails aren't coming directly from Google to your iPhone but that they're passing through Microsoft servers first?

You will not believe this:

In the iPhone "Settings" for Notifications - Go to the Outlook app. Go to Settings within the app (click upper left corner, then gear on lower left corner). Go to the Mail setting, in Mail turn on Focused Inbox. The "Badge Count" setting will then appear. Set the Badge Count to "All". You can then back out and turn Focused Inbox back off (i don't like that option).

Now the notification badge counts appear. Did not test the Banner notifications but for me the Badge counts are good enough.

Update >>> The Banner notifications work as well.

Thank you for your support.
