Hello.

I have been using my iPod touch for a few days now and, after jailbreaking it and installing loads of apps, I am trying to get the standard features to work.

Once I have added someone into the contacts section, and assigned a birthday to them, the iPod does not put that birthday in the calendar - which is odd, but acceptable as it is only a music player. So, I sync the contacts to Outlook (2007) on my (Windows XP) PC. It copies over the information including the birthday, so far so good. But that does not put the contact's birthday into the calendar.

The only way that I have found to get it in there is if I edit that contact on the PC and edit the birthday, then save.

I, like a lot of people, am using my iPod touch as a PDA - with mail, calendar etc. and it is stupid that outlook does not put the birthday in - I will add a contact and forget to edit them in outlook, that means I will never know about their birthday... Does anyone know of a fix for this - I realise that it is more of an Outlook problem than an iPod one, but any help would be appreciated.

Please don't make suggestions like "buy a mac", an MBP is already on my wish list for next year!

Thanks.
