Has anyone else had this experience? On two different computers in this household that have recently been upgraded to Mavericks Outlook has suddenly begun re-downloading the entire contents of a POP email account (hundreds of emails). I more or less caught it in the act this evening when I woke my iMac from sleep to see the blue candy stripe indicating connection activity frozen on the screen as the system came up. After a few moments Outlook came alive and began downloading the entire contents of the POP account (again).

My suspicion is that the system timed into sleep mode while Outlook was in the process of talking to the POP account causing some record-keeping to fall out of sync. In several years of using Outlook under Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion I have never seen this happen before. Twice now in just the week I have been running under Mavericks. Has something changed in the OS that causes it to ignore the fact that Outlook is active?
