Outlook: mac 2011

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro (early 2011) running ML and Microsoft Office for Mac 2011. So far it's been great fun. I would like Outlook on my mac to operate like outlook on my PC's namely when I open and then delete an email message the previous email message is displayed. I have located and updated this item in the Windows 7 OS that I have running on this mac via boot camp but have not been able to locate how to do it on Outlook for mac 2011. I suspect that it may not be possible?

I don't think you can. As you've noticed, the Mac version is quite a bit less ornate than the Windows version.
