Outlook Meeting Requests (.ics file) over IMAP

My system does not quite use Active Sync yet but hopefully within the next couple of months. I have configued my e-mail using IMAP and syncing my calander and contacts via itunes and everything seems to be going good except one thing.

When i recieve a meeting invite from outlook on the iPhone i recieve a blank e-mail with a .ics attachment. I can not open this attachment so can't see any information regarding the meeting.

Anyone have any sollutions for this?

join the club of many many other. Seems like meeting requests "ONLY" work with an exchange account.

I don't need them to 'work' just need to know when the meeting is etc but it doesn't even tell you that.
