I have a friend who sends messages using Outlook to Entourage and Mail users, and the messages strip out the formatting. Attachments do not appear correctly (appear as raw html for example...but just for html attachment, not the entire message) and the start of messages, after the header includes:

------_=_NextPart_001_01C956D1.492DB77A

Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

boundary="----_=_NextPart_002_01C956D1.492DB77A"

------_=_NextPart_002_01C956D1.492DB77A

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Content-Type: text/plain;

Any idea what could be causing this? They are using Outlook 2003 and the users are using Entourage 2004/2008 or Apple Mail 3. Thanks.

Showing a small part of the message is not very helpful. The part that you posted appears to be multi-part MIME, a standard email protocol. Mail and Entourage handle multi-part MIME just fine. However, some people's setup cause problems for email clients other than Outlook. Perhaps, you can post a complete problematic message along with a screenshot of how it appears on your system.
