Outlook Profile subfolders vanish

I am using outlook 2011 for mac, I had an IMAP profile set up with subfolders I created through outlook full of emails.

I went to edit something in the account profile and it says 'deleting folders' and my account and all of my emails and subfolders are gone from the left hand panel.

Is there a way to recover this?
