I currently have 50 contacts in my Address Book in Lion. I have a VCF file that was created on my PC with O2M that I want to import which contains around 1000 contacts. When I drag the VCF file, the contacts import properly and are all in the Address Book. The problem is, when I quit then restart the Address book only my original 50 contacts are there. I even tried deleting the Address Book folder in Library > Application Support so that I could start with a new address book and import my 1000 contacts. Even after doing that, I restarted Address Book and those same 50 contacts magically reappear.

Any ideas on why these 50 contacts are always there and are preventing me from keeping my import from staying?

This is driving me nuts!

You have to import into OSX contacts, which syncs in the background to outlook. the 50 contacts are coming from your contact list in OSX not from the outlook program itself.
