I bought a blackbook about 4 weeks ago, and got the adapter to output to a VGA external monitor, I have an OLEVIA LCD TV with the computer screen input... before I returned my macbook for the aluminum one, I tested the output and no matter what I did I could not get the macbook to output to the VGA screen, I did get my 2 other laptops to work with it, but they are PCs... I brought the adapter back and gave up.

Anyways, I got the aluminum macbook now, and I don't want to buy the $20 dollar adapter only to find out it doesn't work anyways... any suggestions? Do I need a second adapter for some reason?

Since DisplayPort and Mini-DVI are different I'd just get the new adapter and it will likely work just fine. However I do recall seeing something about Apple video output and OLEVIA TVs... you might want to research that.

the display output on the black macbook from last month and the new aluminum macbook are different?

I searched and searched, nothing useful... I will keep my eyes peeled
