I read these outrageous amounts of data people are using in a month. Are most using their unlimited data as their primary internet connection?

If not how the heck people using 10+GB/month?

i keep wifi off to conserve battery and i watch alot of videos on youtube and stream with itunes match, pandora, espn radio etc....

ill never pay for a tiered plan because its a gigantic ripoff when u consider how much the carriers actually pay for bandwidth

u all can be money pawns for att and verizon

ill never be

I sometimes wonder myself. I consider myself a power user and... well look below.

I also get out fairly often and use my phone a lot when I'm out.

Of course, I tend to not do a lot of video watching when out and about... maybe that's why? Most of my usage is limited to web browsing, twitter (including tweeting photos), email, Reddit, etc.

No wifi where I live and most wifi networks get disconnected when I turn the screen off, especially the free wifi that requires you to login and accept agreements.

Using wifi actually uses less power than using a cellular connection. Just an FYI.

Umm, you DO realize that Wifi uses *less* power than cellular data, right? By an order of magnitude, too.

Wifi is talking to an access point that is at most a few dozen feet away. Cellular data is talking to a tower that could be a mile away. The latter requires a lot more power!

Turn your Wifi on, silly. There's absolutely NO reason to turn it off unless you're going on a road trip or something where you KNOW you won't be around any Wifi networks for hours at a time.

Lte is faster then my wifi so I leave it on 24/7. Gonna hit 3 gb by Friday and that is only 9 days into my cycle.

didnt know that

either way lte is faster then my wifi connection at home so either way im not turning wifi on

You're using your cellular data as primary Internet even though you have wifi.

I'm thinking that most users with what I call outrageous data usage are using their cellular Internet as their primary Internet.
