HomeKit Outside temp to control Ecobee

I am looking for a device that with an outdoor temperature sensor that I can use to set automations to control my EcoBee3. I found Eve has a few devices with mixed reviews. I am looking for temperature as a min input sensor, but other sensors would be a plus.

Anyone have a good recommendation or already doing this?

I am still trying to see if this is doable. Will homekit allow me to use the temp sensor as an input to control the ecobee?

I use the Hue outdoor motion sensor which also has a thermometer and light level sensor. I think you may need a Hue bridge though and HomeKit doesn’t have an automation for temperature variable. Other home apps do though. Believe the Eve app and Home 3 to name a couple.

I know it’s not as precise, but could you not simply accomplish this with IFTTT and a weather input?
