I don't think so. From my Apple Store experience the Space Black SS was actually "black" (and shiny), while the space grey was more of a dark grey

Even after seeing it over and over I can't believe how cheap the sport model looks compared to SS.

Must be another person trying to justify paying $200 more for a 1st gen product. I felt the aluminum looked and felt just fine for a $400 watch that can do what it can. Not cheap at all. Yes it's less expensive and not as shiny but cheap no. Cheap= plastic Timex @ $30.

Glad I didn't get the space grey sport. It looks good with the black sports band but I'm not loving most of the other band options with it.

It would look ridiculously bad. The black SS is essentially black, so imagine black on silver ugh
