Apps Overcast: now playing symbol stays

Since a few days, the „now playing“ icon from Overcast is staying on top of the watchface (where notifications or water lock are displayed, don’t know how this area is called). I can remove it for a while when starting and pausing a replay with Overcast. It will come back though within a few minutes and I have no idea why. It is a little bit annoying as it covers the red dot for notifications.
Anyone got an idea how to fix this?
Checked through settings but did not find something.

My older S2 behaved the same way, but my S4 does not and everything works as it should. On my S2, it would eventually go away after force closing the app but it took a while.

I don't think this is unique to Overcast. I've seen it with the standard Podcasts app too.

Thinking back when this started, could well be introduced with iOS 13.2.2. But not sure.

Nope, I saw it before 13.2.2 was released. Maybe as early as 13.2 or even one of the 13.1 releases.

Ok, as we are getting iOS updates almost once a week, I could mix things up. ;-)
