Overclocking 10.6 ?

Soon i will have to upgrade to snow leopard, to run my 6870 graphics card, and sometimes i use this tool http://www.zdnet.com/blog/apple/overclock-a-mac-pro-or-xserve-in-software/1910 too OC a bit to get better performance at this emulator i have. However it says its only for 10.5. Will it work anyway and is there any other way to OC 10.6 ?

It does, up to a 2008 mac pro only.
