Posted a thread in the digital photography forum but no one has commented. Thought I would try here. Have a iPhone 8 that I would like to use to transfer some photographs and 35mm slides to digital. Plan to use Photomyne app. Looking for suggestions for a tripod/frame/mount to hold the camera above the photographs. Since posting have found some ideas on Amazon and Pinterest, but want some input from someone who has actually done this. Looking for stable and cheap (of course). And some thoughts on lighting the photos. Not sure what to do about slides. Thanks!

Try this one.

This is the one I have in black.

Mine is a ZOMEI tripod just like this one. It has a special mount for a mobile phone and the ball head enables it to look straight down.
Thank you, cheddar-caveman! The one you have does not seem to be available anymore. However, I did find a Zomei T70 (ZOMEI 54" Phone Tripod with Bluetooth Remote and Smartphone Holder) on Amazon for something like $25. Sorry my computer refuses to make a link, but do you think that is close to yours? It doesn't actually say it points straight down, but one of the images seems to hint at that. And is the height easily adjustable on one like that? Such that I could have the phone down to like within 6 inches of the table top? And on up a bit?
