In the last few days my macbook alminium (Similar to pro) has got overheated just when I opens it up. It is really annoying couse at school when I only have Firefox and Word up it makes sound just when I have it opens for 10 minutes...

Please reply fast!
 
Have a look at Activity Monitor ( Applications / Utilities / ) and select All Processes and sort by CPU to see what the culprit may be.

Also use iStat Pro to monitor temperatures and fan speed.

Is AWK a process that I need?

I don't know that process, haven't found any valuable information about in a quick www search, though that process does not run on my Macs. As it seems to be from your user account, what other applications do you run? Some scripting tools for Unix or similar OS maybe?
If that is NOT the case, a "force quit / avslutt prosess" should work. Take a look at your login items too, maybe it is set to startup that way.

try google.com ;)

also just look at your dock and make sure stuff you arent using is closed/quited
