iPad Pro Overheating and freezing iPad Pro 12.9

I have iPad Pro 12.9(4th), device is overheating while I use procreate, Lightroom etc. and another problem happened 2 days ago which is device can’t detect my pencil’s move on it. I am going to Apple store and I am wondering that device has a annoying scratch on corner does it make any problem to replace iPad If apple agree to device has a problem?
 
Depending on how severe that scratch is they might deny a warranty repair. If you have AppleCare that might be less of an issue.
