I know there are other forum posts about different print jobs taking 100% CPU and causing over heating and loud fans. But all of them end the same way. They all end with the 'answer' : "delete all print jobs"
This is not an answer.
I have a black macbook and it prints from my canon ip1500 just fine. never overheats, never requires 100% CPU. But if I try to use the same computer with the same printer when the printer is hooked up to my time capsule, the macbook becomes unusable and feels like its going to melt a hole in the table. This is not normal.
Does anyone know why this happens? I have heard other people say that even their MBPs have the same problem.
I also have a 2008 macbook pro, and I don't have any unusually high cpu usages or high temps when printing. Just on the black macbook when printing wirelessly.
Also, sometimes forcing the print manager to quit won't make the process go away and I have to open system preferences and remove the printer from the list there before the computer will cool down.
