If I select the overnight guaranteed ($16) does that mean I will have it tomorrow or they are just guaranteeing that it will be sent out by tomorrow. Thank you!

There's an overnight guaranteed? I wasn't aware of this option. In any case it's overnight shipping from the time they ship it, not the time you order it.

I'm shipping to Toronto and there's only the regular option. Why can't Apple overnight ship to Canada? I've never encountered this before.

Yup. :) And it says "Delivers July 21 - July 22"

Usually it will also depend on the time you order it. If they have a cutoff where say... orders processed after 2:00PM their time will not get shipped until the following business day... that's likely the reason for the 1-2 day time frame.

Plus it creates less hassle on their end if the carrier has a few hiccups in getting it to you.

Ah, the Apple rep on the phone told me the custom configs ship from overseas, so 1-day shipping isn't available for them.

Has anyone else received their shipping notice yet?

Something has come up and I need to know if I need to be home tomorrow for sure or not.

This has always been the case, especially at launch of new hardware. The BTO units come direct from China, rather than local holding centres.

I chose free shipping, and they're shipping it tomorrow with delivery time around July 26-27.

Does anyone know what the chances are of it arriving before 26th?

It depends if they're in stock at all the distribution centers in the country. I know for east coast orders they usually ship from PA so I get it in about a day even with standard shipping.

MBAIR 13.3/1.7/4/128FLASH ordered at 10 a.m. EDT today, with extra $10 for overnight shipping.

Apple's acknowledgement email didn't arrive until 3:14 p.m. EDT.

But the shipping notification arrived at 5:35 p.m. EDT, with the machine being shipped at 4:16 p.m. CDT (5:16 p.m. EDT) from Nashville and scheduled for FedEx delivery by 3 p.m. Thursday, July 21, in Tallahassee, Fla.

I ordered the same configuration as you at 9:05am. Received order acknowledgement email at 10:58am and $100 GC was shipped at 4:19pm. No word on MBA yet.

Interesting. Well, I had a small issue with my CC, but it was resolved within 5 minutes, wonder if that is the problem.

Capital One always flags me for possible fraud. Even though I do ALL my commerce online, Most of it goes to Apple or Amazon, but even still, Apple orders get an email from them to contact them. Big or small. I had to call them from an iPad cover before, for instance.

Always pay bill in full every month, have had the account with no problems for 5 years.

I guess safe than sorry counts here, but if it starts causing delays and the like, then wtf.

Still no change on my base 13" - aggravating. No email confirmation and still shows not shipped. Ordered it early this morning, shortly after they went online.

This is the same thing that happened to my buddy during the original iPad launch, though. He ordered his before me and didn't get a shipping notification and it didn't ship out until almost 3 hours after mine.

Guess I should still remain hopeful?

I ordered mine half an hour after release in EST, all maxed out, my choices were free or 2-3 day shipping.

Apple didn't send it priority overnight. Were they supposed to? I'll have to check, if so, it was late. Anyway, it's gone back to them.
