Hi everyone,
I recently installed an SSD into my 2011 21.5" iMac and I am really happy with the speeds. I kept the original HDD in the iMac and installed the SSD behind the optical drive. Now I am hoping to install a second SSD by removing the optical drive as I never use it. I was taking a look at the OWC Data Doubler product http://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/DDMMCL0GB/
Does anyone know if it is compatible with the 2011 iMac as well? The product page states compatibility with 2009 and 2010 iMacs. Also I contacted OWC and they stated it would not be compatible but the representative could not give me a reason why. Im not sure why it wouldn't be compatible. Are the optical disk drives the same size in both systems?
Thanks
