OWC dock to Apple 23" Cinema Display

My OWC dock just showed up today and connecting my older Cinema Display (DVI) using an Apple DVI to HDMI adapter results in a flashing blue screen. The display is detected, it just flashes every few seconds. I'm guessing this is some sort of HDCP handshake issue.

I just sent a note to OWC, just curious if anyone else has had the seem the same problem. Or if someone can recommend a different dock for connecting the display (not sure if Displayport to DVI will have the same problem).
 
In case anyone else ends up finding this in the future, I gave up. I tried a number of combinations including OWC, Monoprice, and the Apple adapter to no avail. Ended up selling the Cinema Display and upgrading to a Dell U2515H. 2560x1440 resolution worked perfectly using the OWC doc over HDMI.
