Is the OWC Mercury Pro really worth it over others?

I realize it has USB 3.0, Firewire ect, but is it worth it over something like this?

Worth is subjective. The OWC makes most sense if you may need the extra interfaces. Dunno what chip set or firmware is in the box you referenced, but look for reviews an see if many have made it work with a Mac reliably. There are tons of USB3 enclosures out there that are fickle with a Mac. Such is the nature of USB3.
