I've just purchased an OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro SATA HDx2 HWRD with two Seagate 1TB drives. This will be used for data backup, not video streaming or anything requiring speed. Product description says it supports only RAID-0. I want to use Disk Utility to set up as RAID-1. Do I have to move a jumper or do anything else? Has anyone else tried using Disk Utility to create a RAID-1 setup on a RAID-0 enclosure?

Sounds like you bought the wrong thing to me. Why didn't you buy something that was RAID 1 or would at least do both? I would imagine if it is one enclosure with 2 drives and they say it will only do RAID 0 then even software won't help you unless you bought a 2nd one and then used software to mirror the 2 enclosures.

I would suggest using their live chat to ask OWC.
