OWC stopped selling 800mhz NetList RAM

As of this morning, I noticed OWC isn't selling the Netlist RAM for the new Mac Pros. They are only selling the qualified RAM now.

It looks like there was a price increase as well... I paid $779.99 for the 16GB kit three days ago and it is now $859.99.

Guess I was lucky .

UMMM...I bought the netlist ram LAST NIGHT.

Should I cancel the order? Why would they stop selling it? I'd rather have guaranteed good RAM for $219 instead of $199. I bought 2x2gb btw.

When OWC says shipping in 3 days - they mean in 10 days .. you better get your lawyer involved straight away ...

Personally, I have found OWC less-than-stellar in their performance. I paid for overnight shipping which, based on their "three day shipping" quote, would have had my order delivered no later than tomorrow.

Surprise surprise, they still haven't shipped it out yet and I've been on hold for thirty minutes waiting to get a response.

I got official word:

I called, and the guy was very knowledgeable, he said the netlist RAM was simply backordered, and their vendor for in-house RAM raised the wholesale, so they had to raise prices a slight amount.

Netlist RAM ships Feb 4.
