Heya guys

Anyone else having issues with the OWC USB-C dock and High Sierra?

I submitted a technical support ticket last weekend to OWC and reached out to them over Twitter, but haven't heard anything back yet (which is kinda disappointing).

So I picked up an OWC USB-C Dock (HDMI version) about a month ago and it worked perfectly fine with Sierra. I am using a Mid 2017 13" MacBook Pro (non Touchbar) in clamshell mode. I have an external Asus 1440P display plugged in via HDMI. I am using the built in ethernet on the Dock and have Apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse. My MBP is set to NOT sleep when plugged in, however I use a screensaver and then the external display shuts off after 15 or 20 minutes.

I upgraded to High Sierra and all sort of issues started cropping up.

Most common ones: Sometimes mounted network drives don't display on the desktop. I can go into the Finder and find the volume and it works fine. Rebooting typically brings back the desktop icon.

I have also had this same thing happen with external USB drives. Reboot and they appear again.

Before anyone asks, yes, I have the option to show all drives on the desktop enabled.

Also, I use screen zooming from time to time. Last weekend I was looking at this low res image and needed a closer look. I zoomed in and then was unable to zoom out! Plus I couldn't pan the screen around via the cursor either. I was stuck zoomed way in on this low res image. Pressed the power button on my MacBook Pro's keyboard to get a shutdown prompt. Rebooted and everything seemed ok.

Last night I unlocked the screen to find that half the image on the external monitor was shifted to the left and the rest of it showed up on the right hand side of the screen. And there was fuzzy static at the very top of the screen. Reboot and it went back to normal.

It's possible these are all High Sierra issues or a combination of Dock and High Sierra.
