That mockup looks hideous, I hope the actual thing is nothing like it.
UI changes should always be for the better, or not at all. Change for the sake of change is unlike Apple.

So are they dumbing down Mac OS even more?

Are they planning to remove the terminal?

Edit: what the ... I'm 100% sure I didn't post the message in this thread. Site glitching today?

:)

14-Port Thunderbolt Dock - $169.00 when added to cart, down from $279.99
That's a Thunderbolt 3 dock. Unlike with a TB 4 or 5 dock, you only get one downstream TB port with TB3 docks/hubs, at most, if I recall correctly.

Checking just now, Amazon has the CalDigit TS3+ for roughly $210, the TS4 for $380, and if you're willing to accept fewer ports the Element 5 Hub at around $280. I was told the CalDigit TS3+ could often be picked up used under $100, and I got one months ago for $90 off FaceBook Marketplace.

I would've thought by now vendors would've largely moved on from making Thunderbolt 3 docks in favor of 4 and 5, but it seems that's not so. Are TB3 docks much cheaper to manufacture than TB4 docks? Are the hardware and licensing fees, if any, much different?

I really appreciate the TOC, and Compendium.

But, transparency is just not there for me . . . I get emails all the time that ask me to access obfuscatory URLs on-the-daily, and I am reluctant (if not resistant)!

[ok: I clicked on a few of 'em, and I was gifted a blank screen]

No Angel, here ;)
