OWC kicked off a new "Spring Savings Celebration" this week, offering solid discounts on a variety of USB-C docks, memory cards, external drives and enclosures, and Mac accessories. Many of these deals won't be applied until you add the items to your cart, at which time an automatic coupon will be applied to your order.

Hmmm the 14-port for $179 vs. Caldigit TB4 Pro for $329 from Apple. Sure one is more $ but which is more stable... At $279 I was leaning towards the TB4 but now...

Does anyone here have any favorable experience differentiating between the two? I do like the DisplayPort add'l port on the Caldigit, and the Caldigit's array of ports in general.

I'm sure there's a perfectly logical reason for it but it'd be great if some of these mega docks had a good ol' fashion Firewire port. Old hard drives, camcorders, or *gasp* iPods could still be brought back to life.

I purchased the Thunderbolt 3 14 port dock a couple of years ago and it has been a flawless performer. OWC had it on sale for $100 back then and I should have bought two of them.

People always come in these threads to remind folks that OWC is no longer a top tier Mac hardware maker. I’ll echo that for you now.

I concur that OWC has fallen from grace. I recently ordered some RAM and they sent me sticks that were incorrect and used — and then customer support fought with me over multiple careless emails.
