I am new here and need some advise in which Mac to get. This will be my first Mac after many years on Windows PC.
I have Dell 30" display that I still want to use with the new Mac. I will mainly use this Mac for some 3D games, music productions/Mixing (ie Ableton Live, Traktor Pro etc), Photo/video editing. I am not making money from doing those things... I mainly do those for fun
so price would be an important consideration too. I am a heavy internet user - browsing and downloading stuff and I have an iPad.
Now with the above discriptions, which Mac would you recommend to get?
MBPi7 15". Allow me to have dual display with my Dell 30" ..
Mac Pro. Too expensive/overkilled for my use? but upgradable ...
iMac. I would avoid this as I don't really need 2 big displays.
Mac Mini. Will it be good enough for the above music software I use and some casual 3d games?
I tend to keep this Mac for a long period of time.
PS : There is a mint condition 2008 MacPro Quad 2.8 with 8GB RAM on eBay that I am watching. The bid so far is USD$1000 with about 6 days to go. If I was bidding for it, how much will that worth? Is it worth bidding?
Any advise would be much appreciated.
