Anyone out there who owns the 2016 13” MacBook Pro with Touchbar: what are your real life reports of battery life? I recently scored one of those machines new on the cheap through a blowout sale, but I normally would be a non-touchbar person — partly because I value battery life. I am actually considering selling it while it’s still sealed and buying a non-touchbar version (which I have had on and off for the past two years, and I know to have excellent battery life).
My use case is light: writing (Ulysses, Scrivener, Word), annotating in Papers/Documents apps.
I know how to use MacOS well, I can minimize background processes I don’t need, and I can identify battery hogs. Speaking of which, of course, I won’t ever let anything designed by google — Chrome! — near my computer’s battery. (There is always someone who seems to say “I only get 4 hours of battery — but I use Chrome!” which seems hilarious to me.
Thanks for any input!
