True, but the hype behind the release of a lot of Apple products makes it all the more worse.
I saw this linked on another forum, but it seems more appropriate to reply here.
With any brand of product, there are always going to be fanatics who feel they need to go out and purchase every product available to them. This is nothing new. The same mentality can be witnessed in fans of many brands, even ones that have nothing to do with computing.
The majority of users aren't like this. They will buy a product which meets their needs, then upgrade once that particular product fails to meet said needs. I find it strange that Apple users are the only people who are tarred with the obsessed fan brush. It ignores all the other crazy fanatics out there...
