in shopping for a hardware RAID1 external hard drive enclosure, i have run into hard drives like the Icy Dock MB662US-2S Dual Bay eSATA & USB 2.0 RAID External Enclosure that has a Silicon Image 5744 chipset, and OWC Mercury Elite AL Pro Dual Bay "Quad Interface" Performance RAID Solution, or Guardian Maximus Hardware RAID-1 external RAID solutions that are Oxford 936 chipsets. are Oxford chipsets better and/or more reliable than Silicon Image chipsets? should i be worrying about this? i'll be using these drives with a 2010 macbook pro and 2010 mac pro.
