iPod touch p0sixspwn jailbreak problem

i just tried to jailbreak my ipod 4g running iOS 6.1.6 on p0sixspwn
(1) i plug my ipod in it dowloads some then stops
(2) it sayss rebot, it rebots.
(3) then it says performing magic but it soon stops it says (p0sixspwn v-1.8.0.exe has stopped working) the download stops and doesnt work anymore. ive tried about 20 times the and the same thing thing pops up evertime. So all i need to know is how to fix (the exe. has stoped working.) thanks

Maybe try running it on another computer.
Make sure you have the latest itunes installed before you attempt to JB it on that machine.

P0sixpwn was never updated for 6.1.6. Use redsn0w and then install the package in cydia.

Actually it has been updated.
I JB my ipod touch on 6.1.6 last week.
You don't need redsnow or the untether package from cydia.
You can do it all at once untethered.

Both.
Update your itunes and then restore your ipod again with itunes to the latest 6.1.6
Also make sure you run the p0sixpwn.exe as administrator.

ok thanks, and so to run administrator i just right click p0sixspwn and click run as idministrator. just amking sure.

hey applejuiced when you jailbroke your ipod did it rebot by it self or did you have to do it? mine wont rebot it self so i rebot it.

it should reboot by itself during the jailbreaking process

otherwise, you can go the redsn0w route and then after the tether jailbreak, install p0sixspwn from cydia to untether your device

Yes, that's correct.
Right click and select run as admin.
No, mine rebooted on its own. I didn't have to do anything.
Looks like the program is crashing before it finishes the JB. Make sure you have the latest java update installed also. Maybe try running it on another computer.
Or try redsnow if all else failed and jb tethered. And then open cydia and apply the untethered patch.
