Hello

1st time poster here so sorry if I mess up on anything.

Here is the deal ...back in 2000/1 I was off to University and made my own PC with Windows 2000 later upgraded to XP ...its a p3 1ghz with 1 gig of ram and 2 160 gig IDE harddrives ...it runs okay for what I do ...the occasional old games like simcity 4 or counter strike/day of defeat etc...as well as email/torrent/surfing etc ...Even after college I use the machine and it does what I want with in limit...so here is my question for advice

Is the new Mac Mini that got announced today 3-3-09 a suitable substitute ? ...Im sure it will run Vista ultimate just fine (I got it for free @ one of those Microsoft events) but will it run Windows 7 okay ? I mean Im a long time PC user who want to switch due to the unix environment (yes I got a degree in IT stuff and work as a systems analyst) so figured if I switch why not now ? You maybe asking why a mac mini ? well its cause I like my 24 inch LCD Samsung monitor...sure I can boot camp but I want to make sure that I can play some newer games that are out there and if I want to upgrade from 2 to 4 gigs of ram later on or a bigger hard drive it will be easy enough ....I guess im one of those people that before making "the switch" I need some one to tell me every thing will be okay. I just don't want to spend $1000+ and later be like I should have built a decked out PC for what I paid for this. I mean if all else install windows 7 and I have a nice PC for my family room right ?

Thanks in advance to any one who reads and responds
