Padlock in place of clock on home screen?

So it seems like something strange has happened with my phone. On the home screen, in the middle of the status bar, there is a padlock, not a clock. I have the phone plugged in, but the battery indicator is stuck and not showing that it's charging, and is stuck at 95%. I can't get internet, and I can't make phone calls.


I have no idea what happened. This started maybe 20 minutes ago?

I can't turn the phone off either.

Nothing happened when I did that.

I ended up rushing to the apple store, which is luckily 10 minutes from me. I talked to the first blue shirt there, and she took my phone, pressed the lock button and the home button, to restart the phone. It was working again.

Let's just say I don't feel Illuminated right now...
