Instead of the spotlight i want to be able put icons, rss feed etc.

Got rss feed from perpage atm. I just want to be able to have something else than spotlight. Like icons or whatever. Like htc..

It seems like i get missunderstod. I want to hide spotlight But still be able to use the space/page where spotlight is located. For an example put a rss feed or icons there. I dont want to remove the whole spotlight/page..
