I'm trying to format my Pages document, but to be honest, it's about as frustrating as going number two while doing a hand stand. I'm about to hurl this pretty G4 across the floor like Kevin Rose.

I don't understand where, if ever, I went wrong in formatting. All I want to do is number my pages! Yet with every other page I create it copies the same header and footer as the page 2-pages before it! In other words, every odd page says "Header" at the top and "1" at the bottom -.-' Apple, you disappoint me so.

Is it really this difficult to number my pages?

Please tell me somebody has actually decoded Pages' cryptic gyberwigy!

[1] Make sure “Left and right pages are different” is unchecked.
-- To do this, go to the layout inspector — 2nd icon in the inspector palette.

[2] Have you used sections?
-- If so, make sure you have “Continue from previous section”. This might be why it keeps saying one, because the numbering is being reset at every section break.

Good god, sections move with text! ><

Thank you...thank you so..so dearly much...for saving what is left of my hair.

Another hint: If you haven't figured out already:

If you turn on invisibles it will clearly show section boundaries.

Great...simply great, thanks so much! This thing should come with a manual. I mean real instructions, not just help topics.

Thanks.
