Ok, I installed the latest public beta of Yosemite onto my 2013 MBA (13"/i7/8Gb/512) using a USB 3.0 256Gb Patriot Supersonic Magnum 8 channel flash drive connected via USB3 hub (this flash drive is usually LIGHTENING fast in Mavericks). The MBA is connected via 27" ACD and I'm using 802.11ac Wifi from my 2013 2Gb Time Capsule located about 5 feet from the Air. After properly formatting and partitioning the drive, the install went flawlessly. Everything seems to work (the USB Hub works perfectly) however I get page-outs/spinning beach balls every time I click on a program (I have no 3rd party programs or other non-base Apple programs that didn't come with Yosemite). It happens every time I open anything (it even just happened while I was typing this entry).

The programs can take up to 30 seconds to open even on repeated openings. I thought perhaps this could be caused by "Spotlight Indexing", but could that be the cause with really nothing but base programs on the drive (less than 12 Gb including the OS on the drive)? Is there a way to allocate more of my MBA's 8Gb of memory to the Yosemite Beta and if there is, would that help the issue?

Thanks for any help.
