Page size format question in Safari

Hey guys, I'm on last years model - MacBook Pro 15in. Whenever I open a new window in Safari I have to hit command/+ to make the page one 'zoom' bigger, to make it normal. Otherwise everything is too small.

Is there a way I don't have to do this every single time I open a new window?
