Pages 09 bullet point levelling

heya, i have recently moved from windows to mac and the word processor i have chosen is pages 09 as i dont trust msoft enough to use their office:mac. I have a question about how bullet points work in pages 09. what i am tryoing to do is to make levels of bullet points which is fine but when i want to make a bullet point go back it refuses to do it (it used to be default under MS office for windows). Probably makes no sense so will demo below.

- first note
- -----2nd note
------------ sub note
- -----back to 2nd note level <- this is where i am trying to get bullet back to

if anyone knows how to get this to work please let me know.

Edit - couldt get what i wrote to format correctly, so used '----' to try to show what im trying to do.... hope this can be understood

Shift-Tab returns you to the higher hierarchy and aligns the bullet further to the left.
